Information Services
grandfather and child at the computerDirection Service acts as an information clearinghouse on a broad range of disability related topics, which include legal issues, resources, parenting, barrier-free design, disabling conditions, and controversial treatments. Direction Service is also a part of a community resource website called 211Lane. Visitors to 211Lane will find information on a broad array of organizations that can meet the needs of persons with disabilities and their families. Direction Service, in joining with other information and referral providers, is now part of a comprehensive system that includes listings on more that 2,000 agencies and support groups. Direction Service uses this information to respond to many requests for information each year. A summer program directory is also produced and distributed annually.
